BCS Agile Foundation:
Currently work in a waterfall manner? Looking to introduce your staff to agile approaches? This course provides a introduction to to a range of agile approaches along with some common practises and techniques – suitable for any level of staff who are likely to be working on an agile development. Includes a focus on behaviors and mindsets that change when working in a more iterative manner, along with practical exercises. 2 day course (with or without certification).
Introduction to Project Management:
Bespoke training course, tailored to suit your companies Project Management approach. Typically these can be based on a traditional (or waterfall) approach, or an iterative (agile) approach including an Introduction to Scrum. This course is ideal for junior project managers, team leaders, operational mangers taking on Project Management roles and new senior staff taking on roles such as Project Sponsor or a senior stakeholder. 1 day training course.
Why do stories help with requirements? Introduction to user stories with practical exercises to enable delegates to practice writing user stories, and their associated acceptance criteria. 1 day training course.
Estimation & Planning:
How might we plan incremental agile developments? Do we use projects of a operational product approach? This course considers these needs along with their plannning differences and similarities. We also look at a range of techniques commonly used within agile teams to help them estimate be that at portfolio, user story or task level. 1 day training course.
Introduction to Kanban:
Practical training course enabling delegates to learn about using Kanban to support them when developing products (or processes). Looking into how techniques from the manufacturing world of Lean6Sigma can support other industries as well. 1 day course.
Overview of stakeholder engagement activities, to support transformation or change projects. These skills are of particular benefit when working on Agile projects where there are multiple deliveries, and on larger programmes of change.
